About the Role

The Risk Management Department oversees enterprise, strategic, credit, market, liquidity, operational, model, and other risks in corporate and investment banking activities. As a Quantitative Advisor, you will join the Model Risk Management (MRM) team embedded within the Risk Management function in SG CIB.

Job Description

In this role, you will participate in developing and maintaining the continuous model monitoring (CMM) framework to assess models' performance, effectiveness of the MRM framework, and the model business environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including model validators, model developers, business stakeholders, IT, auditors, and support functions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent model reviews of relevant models throughout their lifecycle.
  • Assess model conceptual soundness by performing quantitative analyses and statistical tests.
  • Verify data input quality and processing, model output accuracy using large datasets.
  • Analyze model output through backtesting, benchmarking, sensitivity analysis.
  • Evaluate model governance aspects, such as model change management, ongoing monitoring, and inherent and residual model risk assessment.
Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and at least 3 years of experience in model development, validation, or front-office quant roles. Strong programming skills in Python, R, C++, or similar are required, along with advanced knowledge of statistics, econometrics, and machine learning.

As a Quantitative Advisor at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, you can expect a competitive salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
