About the Role:

Societe Generale de Surveillance SA seeks a highly skilled Quantitative Risk Model Expert to join our Risk Management Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in contributing to the sustainable growth of the company through your expertise and risk management techniques.

The department's mission is to independently analyze, assess, manage, and monitor risk-taking activities with the objective of achieving the best possible outcome for the bank. Our team oversees various types of risks, including model risk, enterprise, strategic, credit, market, liquidity, operational, and other risks.

As a Quantitative Risk Model Expert, you will be responsible for conducting independent model reviews of relevant models used in our business activities. This will involve assessing model conceptual soundness, verifying data input quality and processing, replicating and reviewing model architecture, analyzing model output, and evaluating model governance aspects.

You will collaborate closely with Senior Quantitative Advisors and the team Manager to achieve these goals. Your work will require advanced knowledge of statistics, econometrics, and machine learning, as well as strong programming skills in Python, R, or C++.

We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Master's or PhD preferred) and minimum 3 years of experience in model development, validation, or a front-office quant role. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical staff are essential.

The ideal candidate will have familiarity with model risk management practices and regulatory requirements. Experience with market risk, counterparty risk, margining, or algorithmics trading models is also desirable.

We offer a competitive salary package, which we estimate to be around $150,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications. Benefits include opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

This role requires fluency in English, both spoken and written, as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. We value diversity and inclusion and encourage applications from talented individuals worldwide.
