Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in corporate and commercial law and a strong understanding of the Alberta Business Corporations Act and the Canada Business Corporations Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support corporate transactions, including non-arm's length corporate reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Support commercial and residential real estate transactions.
  • Draft and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements, including service and supply, distribution, licensing, manufacturing, and construction agreements.
  • Work with clients to identify issues and provide strategic legal advice and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other members of the HGA Group to leverage client intelligence and provide comprehensive legal solutions.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in corporate and commercial law.
  • Strong understanding of the Alberta Business Corporations Act and the Canada Business Corporations Act.
  • Ability to quickly grasp supporting software tools and standardized processes.
  • Member in good standing of the Law Society of Alberta.
