We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team at Northcan Construction Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Management: Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, as well as hire and supervise activities of subcontractors.
  • Contract Management: Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
  • Site Management: Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions, and prepare reports on site progress.
  • Communication: Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and other project team members.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Work Site Environment: Outdoors, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office, including MS Word.
  • Security and Safety: Bondable and basic security clearance.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and with attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, judgement, organized, team player, and values and ethics.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
