Job Title: Contract Management Specialist

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our team at a gold mining company located near Timmins, Ontario. This is a remote mine camp setting with travel to site required for 4 x 12 hour shifts and the following week working from home for 5 x 8 hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and revise contracts for the purchase or sale of goods and services such as materials, equipment, suppliers or products.
  • Negotiate new and existing contracts and establish approval for contract change orders.
  • Contribute to the contractual approach and strategy with contract agents and administrators.
  • Examine, analyze, and revise contracts involving the purchase or sale of goods and services.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure appropriate equipment, materials, and subcontractor services are ordered or purchased.
  • Manage contract work relating to contracts, including trend analysis and establishment of contractual conditions for contract change.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Leads, Project Leads, Construction Superintendents, Engineers, and others to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintain various contract registers and follow project-specific instructions.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • College Diploma or Certificate in Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a contract administration role, preferably in a mining heavy industrial environment.
  • Previous experience in an administrative function, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
  • Experience in document control and data management.
  • Possess attention to detail.
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
