About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to work on a variety of projects, including construction oversight, mine waste and tailings management, and slope stability analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and geotechnical engineering, with experience in the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide geotechnical engineering support for construction and ensure quality work is being followed to specifications
  • Carry out on-site engineering data analyses and determine appropriate actions for follow-up
  • Assist with planning and supervising geotechnical subsurface investigations
  • Provide support to senior geotechnical engineer / geotechnical manager
Requirements:
  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (geotechnical, civil or a related field)
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
  • 3 to 7+ years of experience in the mining industry, with a focus on geotechnical engineering
  • Proficient in engineering software (Geo-Slope; MineScape; AutoCAD; Microsoft Office)
