We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide evidence-informed services to individuals, groups, or communities, with a focus on occupational performance designed to meet the needs of individuals, groups, or a community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consultation to professionals and/or assessment to adolescents (ages 10-18) with complex mental health issues and associated developmental, cognitive and behavioural disordered within YCSP.
- Providing Occupational Therapist services in the context of family centred care.
- Liaise and collaborate with relevant community agencies, including schools.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, professional development and program evaluation, student education.
- Appropriate documentation and statistical data collection.
- Completion of bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program.
- Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- A minimum of five years of clinical OT experience (within the last 8 years) with adolescents (and their families) who have complex mental health issues with associated cognitive, behavioural and developmental delays/disorders.
- Experience working with Child and Family Services, Disability Services (FSCD), schools and other health partnership initiatives, multicultural groups, program development and community resources for children and adolescent.
- Preference will be given to those with knowledge, skill and experience in DBT and eating disorders.
