Description:

As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will provide evidence-informed services, focusing on occupational performance to meet the needs of individuals, groups, or communities. You will engage individuals, groups, and communities to enable meaningful and chosen occupations, including self-care, productivity, and leisure. You will support clients to achieve optimum functional abilities and independence related to their cognitive, affective, spiritual, and physical strengths and limitations.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

This position will be primarily covering the out-patient Acute Burn Clinic and providing care interventions to individuals with acute thermal injuries. Experience in critical care, grafts, and wound care is highly recommended. Recent acute care experience in adults is required. You must be highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude whose work aligns with AHS Values.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experiences with complex patient populations, assessment and treatment skills, and Connect Care training are preferred. Basic computer skills are a must, and familiarity with Netcare, Connect Care, Outlook, and other electronic medical records are preferred.
