About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Hospice Peterborough. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients and their families in a compassionate and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Medications: Safely and accurately administer medications to patients as prescribed by physicians.
  • Infection Control: Implement and maintain infection control practices to prevent the spread of infections in the hospice setting.
  • Nursing Services: Provide nursing services to patients based on individualized care plans, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations.
  • Palliative Care: Provide specialized care to patients with serious illnesses, focusing on symptom management, pain control, and quality of life.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Nursing.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a Registered Practical Nurse.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organizational and time management skills.
