Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging Professional

As a Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging Professional at Wabasca/Desmarais Healthcare, you will be responsible for performing procedures in both laboratory and diagnostic imaging settings. You will work as a member of an inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs, and reporting results. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies, and performing quality control procedures as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report results and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare patients for procedures
  • Maintain equipment and supplies
Required Qualifications:

Completion of a diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Epic, Caresphere, Wellsky, Radiant, Mobile Radiography – GE Portable, Carestream DXR Ascend X-ray unit, Kodak Direct View CR 850. Agfa PACS Laboratory. Laboratory: ACL Elite Pro, Sysmex 1000i, Vitros XT3400, Clinitek Status, I-Stat, Triage MeterPro.
