Job Summary

The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Shift Building Operator to join our Plant Operations and Maintenance department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to equipment and machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of facilities and mechanical rooms to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new construction and modifications do not impact existing systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve our maintenance and operations processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Millwright or Industrial Mechanic certification an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
