Automation Engineer

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice Automation Engineer to join our team. As an Apprentice Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement automation plans to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
- Design and develop automation systems, including robotic and PLC-based systems.
- Program and troubleshoot automation equipment, including robots and PLCs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.
- Conduct research and development to stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and trends.
- Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems, including user manuals and technical specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on automation system design.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and budgets.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff on automation systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in automation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or a minimum of 7 years equivalent experience.
- Experience with automation systems, including robotic and PLC-based systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
