Position Information:
Job Summary:
The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing 3rd level support for all UNIX/Linux & Windows servers, Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud infrastructure, data centre infrastructure, and systems monitoring/management infrastructure support. The incumbent will manage projects to completion, including determining and understanding requirements, documentation & planning, providing technical solutions, strategy for implementation, and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain UNIX/Linux & Windows servers, Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud infrastructure, data centre infrastructure, and systems monitoring/management infrastructure support.
- Develop and implement technical solutions to meet business requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Help Desk and Tier II teams to resolve technical issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in systems administration.
Requirements:
- Three-year diploma/degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience with Linux and Windows Systems administration in a senior technical role.
- Experience with enterprise system design and change management process.
- Training and experience in systems and servers such as Dell EQL and Compellent technologies, HP Data Protector, MS Windows Server, RHEL and Ubuntu Systems Administration, and VMware virtualization and infrastructure.
- Proven support skills with IBM & Dell server and SAN hardware in a large and complex data centre environment.
- Ability to multi-task and be circumspect with confidential information.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and independently.
