Engineering Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Systems Specialist to join our team at Trisotech, a leading Quebec firm recognized for its expertise in auxiliary power systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to evolve in a professional environment that values human capital and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:- Define technical requirements for auxiliary power systems and sub-systems, ensuring consistency, completeness, and accuracy.
- Design auxiliary power system architectures based on project requirements and product portfolio.
- Generate Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs) for auxiliary power suppliers.
- Perform technical evaluations of proposals from auxiliary power suppliers.
- Manage auxiliary power suppliers throughout the project lifecycle, including design, testing, and warranty phases.
- Review supplier documentation in accordance with project processes and requirements.
- Evaluate auxiliary power system level tests for verification and validation.
- Estimate efforts required for designing and documenting electromechanical products.
- Ensure cost-related activities respect the allocated budget.
- Plan and establish activities related to mechanical engineering.
- Monitor mechanical engineering activities and product costs.
- Estimate costs of mechanical products.
- Analyze and assimilate technical specifications and standards.
- Design and document electromechanical products, including assembly drawings, diagrams, and formatting supervision.
- Participate in design reviews of electromechanical products.
- Approve documentation for mechanical products when technically competent.
- Provide support for obsolete products.
- Collaborate with the Engineer/Test Designer to define necessary tests (routine and qualification).
- Validate test equipment built with the Engineer/Test Designer and Electrical Technician.
- Offer remote or on-site support to manufacturing sites and suppliers.
- Choose test facilities and submit requests.
- Create requisitions for parts manufactured by suppliers or obtained for in-house manufacturing.
- Ensure all equipment required for testing has been calibrated.
- Conduct tests with or without the Engineer/Test Designer.
- Write comprehensive test reports.
- Perform failure analyses, including report and client presentations.
- Makes technical presentations to clients.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent recognized by the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with relevant experience.
- Experience working with auxiliary power systems.
- Proven track record in leading technical aspects of customer delivery projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
