About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Jay-Smart Technologies Inc. as a key member of our technical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose and locate faults in telecommunications equipment, and perform adjustments, replacements, or repairs as needed.
  • System Inspection: Regularly inspect the operation of telecommunications equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Analysis and Troubleshooting: Analyze test results and make adjustments, changes, or repairs to switching systems, networks, associated equipment, and software as required.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate test and service reports.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble in telecommunications systems.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
