Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Telecommunications Infrastructure Specialist to install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work at heights, and have a strong understanding of telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including climbing poles and working aloft on ladders or other support structures.
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires with precision and accuracy, adhering to industry standards.
  • Operate jackhammers and drills to break up pavement, safely and efficiently.
  • Analyze test results and instrument readings to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with other workers to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure installation and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work at heights and in challenging environments.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications systems and equipment.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement plan.
