Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at EllisDon Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign projects to subordinates and staff related to work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention.
  • Train staff on health and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Manage training and development strategies to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and oversee the preparation of reports.
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.

Requirements:

  • 5 years or more of experience in environmental health and safety.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound judgments.
  • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
