Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at EllisDon Corporation.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and clients. This includes developing and implementing health and safety plans, conducting workplace inspections, and providing training and development strategies to staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action
  • Provide training and development strategies to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents and investigations
  • Collaborate with management and staff to identify and address health and safety concerns
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental health and safety
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. occupational health and safety, environmental science)
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
