We are a leading home renovation company seeking an experienced Floor Covering Specialist to join our team.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage.

Job Description

As a Floor Covering Specialist at Classy Homes Renovations, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of floor coverings, including carpeting, hardwood, and laminate. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift heavy loads, bend, and crouch frequently.

You will work closely with our project managers and clients to ensure that all flooring projects are completed to the highest standard and meet the required deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train on-the-job

You should also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered
  • Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measuring, cutting, and fastening underlay and underpadding
  • Measuring, cutting, and installing carpeting on floors
  • Preparing and installing hardwood floors
  • Inspecting and repairing damaged floor coverings
  • Preparing floors for installations
  • Removing existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Performing direct glue-down carpet installations
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift heavy loads, bend, and crouch frequently. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Transportation/Travel Information

You will need to have a valid driver's license and own transportation, as you will be required to travel to job sites throughout the day.
