We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Contract Compliance Specialist to join our team at EPCOR Utilities Inc. in Edmonton, AB.

About the Role

This is a full-time temporary position, up to 12 months, working at our Edmonton location. We welcome both internal and external candidates to apply.

About the Job

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and work closely with our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department to manage health, safety, and environmental compliance of contractors under Dispatch Services.
  • Review and assess compliance of contractors' work practices to applicable legislation and internal protocols.
  • Identify improvement areas or gaps in contractor performance and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with contractors, EPCOR workers, site supervisors, and managers to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and internal protocols.
  • Conduct regular site inspections or observations and work closely with contractors to implement any corrective actions.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Grade 12 diploma (GED or equivalent level of secondary education).
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant field OR a Journeyperson ticket in a construction-related trade is considered an asset.
  • 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience working in a field/contractor safety management related environment.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated team leadership accountabilities in a field-based environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, audits, and creating reports.
  • A valid Alberta Class 5 Motor Vehicle Operator's License with 6 or fewer demerits.
  • The ability to qualify for and maintain a valid EPCOR driver's permit.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of OH&S legislation and EPCOR policy and standards.
  • Proficient in using databases, data analytics platforms, Business Intelligence metrics dashboards, and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel & Word including Outlook) suites to collect, analyze complex data to drive business outcomes.
