We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team at Jardeg-Construction. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing construction projects from the earliest stages of their life cycle.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Coordination: Participate in preconstruction services, including site logistics, project scheduling, design and constructability review, and budget development.
- Site Management: Be responsible for site staffing, quality control, sub-trade coordination, project scheduling, field cost control, and safety.
- Construction Execution: Determine the method of construction, materials quantities, equipment, work schedule, and documentation of hours worked.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, and subcontractors.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain relationships with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
- Safety and Compliance: Monitor compliance with company and site safety programs and documents, and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Training and Development: Take an active role in the hiring, training, and monitoring of field personnel.
- Project Meetings: Assist with preparation and facilitation of project meetings.
- Claim Resolution and Warranty: Assist project managers with resolution of outstanding claim items and with warranty.
- Project Budgeting: Work in conjunction with the project manager, manage the project budget specifically as pertains to production on self-performed work.
- Experience: Varying years of experience will be considered, with a minimum of 2-6 years in a supervisor capacity role.
- Civil Infrastructure Experience: Proficiency in civil infrastructure deep foundations, structural steel, and concrete.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage project values $1M - 25M.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead mid-sized teams.
- Change Management: Knows the impact of change on cost and schedule.
- Long-Term Planning: Look-ahead 3 months or more in planning work.
- Construction Engineering and Design: Knowledge of construction engineering and design.
- Construction Software and Processes: Knowledge of standard construction software and management processes.
