Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Store Operations Director to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, assigning duties, and ensuring that all store operations run smoothly.

Main Responsibilities
  • Direct and control daily store operations, including managing staff and assigning duties;
  • Plan and organize daily store operations, including developing marketing strategies and planning budgets;
  • Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand and identify opportunities for growth;
  • Determine merchandise and services to be sold, including locating and selecting products for resale;
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales and attract new customers;
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that stock is maintained at optimal levels;
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed in the workplace;
  • Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities to ensure that the store remains clean and well-maintained;
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily store operations;
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail environment;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask;
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment where you will be required to work under pressure and make decisions quickly. You will be standing for extended periods and must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
