Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Supervisor to join our team at Compass Group Canada. As a Culinary Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and served in accordance with established recipes, menus, and quality control standards.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor costs to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and implement new menu items and recipes to enhance the culinary experience for our customers.
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands.
