Opportunity for Hospitalist Physicians at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute

The Department of Medicine and the Division of Cardiology at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute is seeking skilled Hospitalist Physicians to provide high-quality care for patients.

As a Hospitalist Physician at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, you will work closely with a team of cardiologists and hospitalists to deliver exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for rounding on patients daily, providing orders and advice to nursing staff, and managing and coordinating care plans for patients with internal medicine conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Rounding on patients daily with attending cardiologists
  • Providing orders and advice to nursing staff
  • Managing and coordinating care plans for patients with internal medicine conditions
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and academic activities
Qualifications
  • MD degree from an accredited medical school
  • Ontario license
  • Very good interpersonal and clinical skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
  • Eligibility for an academic appointment at the University of Ottawa
