We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Millwright to join our team in the Afternoon shift. This role involves working in a cold, fast-paced, and physical environment where applicants must be comfortable handling meat products.

**Job Summary:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical and electrical systems, as well as machinery at the plant. They will also provide support to production in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems and machinery at the plant.
  • Provide support to production in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Comply with all necessary manufacturing codes, regulations, and standards (GMP, HACCP, WHIMIS, MSDS, etc.).
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve maintenance operations.
  • Actively promote health and safety in the workplace.
  • Complete maintenance reports and logs as required.
  • Evaluate equipment to lower utility costs.
  • Enforce established safety, health, contamination, and housekeeping policies and procedures.

**Requirements:**

  • Valid Millwright license.
  • Proven track record working with mechanics, machine shop practices, welding, and pneumatic & hydraulic fields is required.
  • 2-5 years' industrial mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry.
  • Service, clean, and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production equipment.
  • Continually improve equipment function via design improvements.
  • Problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of appropriate health & safety and environmental regulations.
  • Adherence to Food Safety Protocols.

**Compensation Package:**

  • $50,000 plus $3,000 premium for working the afternoon shift.
  • Comprehensive benefits after three-month probation.
  • Option to participate in GRF Pension Program after three-month probation.
