We are seeking an experienced Land Development Project Director to join our team at GEI Consultants, Inc. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of land development projects, ensuring that each phase is completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors, to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with stakeholders' expectations.
  • Collaborate with environmental, geotechnical, and structural teams to ensure integrated solutions throughout the project.
  • Review and approve technical reports, drawings, and plans to ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and procurement strategies.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure that quality control is maintained.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional growth, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years in land development project management, with extensive experience in managing residential and/or ICI developments.
  • Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in project management, including cost estimation, scheduling, and contractor management.
    • Solid understanding of site grading, servicing, stormwater management, and infrastructure design.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
