Food and Nutrition Services Manager

Aramark is seeking a skilled Food and Nutrition Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of food services across five Toronto-based sites. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as experience in managing teams and ensuring food safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct food production planning, waste management, record keeping, and follow-up activities.
- Assist with flow of day-to-day operations on the floor to ensure all clients are treated with respect and empathy.
- Train and develop staff, with a preference for experience managing in a unionized setting.
- Ensure food safety standards and HACCP are always enforced.
- Address staff-related issues, such as vacation requests and progressive discipline.
- Maintain adherence to all of ARAMARK's Policies and Procedures, as well as the Health and Safety Policy.
Requirements:
- Post-graduate diploma from an accredited Food & Nutrition Management program is preferred.
- Active membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) is an asset.
- Two to three years of food service management experience in long-term care, corrections, or residential community is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of health and safety, employment, and human rights legislation.
- Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Working knowledge of managing unionized labor forces, as applicable.
- Good knowledge of nutrition and safe food handling certification.
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment when making decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters pertaining to clientele and coworkers.
- A valid Ontario driver's license and own vehicle for travel to other local sites is preferred.
