Job Summary

JORA WELDING INC is seeking a skilled Welding Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret Welding Specifications: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Operate Welding Equipment: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Examine Welds: Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, and perform minor repairs on welding equipment as needed.
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Utilize CAD software to design and develop metal parts and products.
  • Metal Shaping and Bending: Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to fabricate metal parts and products.
  • Welding and Brazing: Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, and operate brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
  • Robotics and Automation: Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
