Senior Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team at Baker Tilly. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and support in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting engagements for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their business needs and build strong relationships.
  • Assist with training and development of new staff members.
  • Manage multiple deadlines and priorities to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Provide coaching and support to mentees to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and changing tax laws to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a firm environment.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with Caseware and TaxPrep software is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
