About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at J.E. Agnew Food Services Ltd. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff
    • Oversee the daily operations of our cafeteria and coffee shop, ensuring that all food service staff are working efficiently and effectively.
    • Coordinate the preparation and portioning of food, ensuring that all food is prepared to a high standard and presented in a clean and appealing manner.
  • Train and Develop Staff
    • Train new staff members in their job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
    • Develop and implement training programs to improve staff skills and knowledge, and to enhance customer service.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies
    • Manage the inventory of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all stock is ordered and received in a timely manner.
    • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that all stock is used efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment
    • Ensure that all food service areas are clean and safe, and that all equipment is in good working order.
    • Implement and maintain a system for reporting and addressing any food safety or sanitation issues.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service, and that all customer complaints or concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage Reports and Records
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on food service operations, including sales, inventory, and customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all food service activities, including inventory, sales, and customer feedback.
  • Supervise and Check Delivery of Food Trolleys
    • Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys to ensure that all food is delivered to the correct location and in a timely manner.
  • Establish Work Schedules
    • Establish work schedules for all food service staff, ensuring that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.

    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
