We are seeking a skilled Masonry and Tile Installation Specialist to join our team at Northcan Construction Ltd.

Job Summary

This is a permanent full-time position that involves installing tile and masonry products in various settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and tile installation, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Installation: Prepare surfaces for tile and masonry installation, including measuring and marking surfaces, mixing and applying adhesives, and setting tiles in place.
  • Cutting and Fitting Tiles: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Grouting and Cleaning: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Removal and Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Mosaic Tile Installation: Install mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in masonry and tile installation.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding job requiring heavy lifting, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Conditions: Work site environment may be dusty, noisy, and odorous.
  • Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle for commuting to work sites.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
