Job Description

Ottawa Transport is seeking a Long Haul Truck Driver - Safe Transportation Specialist to join our team.

About the Job

This permanent, full-time position involves driving a tractor-trailer and providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for planning and adjusting routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions while ensuring professionalism in all interactions.

You will load and unload goods, oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and relay information to central dispatch.

Additional responsibilities include recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as ensuring the safety and security of cargo by tarping it appropriately.

Estimated Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.
