Job Summary:This is a 24/7 position that requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. You will work directly with US and Canadian border regulators, brokers, and shippers to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include investigating, managing, and resolving border exceptions, providing guidance to internal staff, and maintaining daily border metric reports.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with border regulators, brokers, and shippers to ensure cross-border traffic flows smoothly
- Provide expert guidance to CPKC Border staff to ensure error-free cross-border operations
- Investigate and resolve border exceptions in a timely manner
- Act as a point of contact and escalation for internal stakeholders involved in cross-border traffic
- Ensure process accuracy and supplemental tariff application
- Maintain and issue daily border metric reports
- University degree and/or equivalent experience in a transportation environment
- 2 years of relevant railway, regulatory, or cross-border transportation experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives with tight deadlines
- Ability to innovate, solve problems, and manage conflict
- Bilingual in English and Spanish; an asset
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
