Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise a team of 5-10 drivers and support staff
    • Provide guidance and training to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Operations Management
    • Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure timely delivery of goods
    • Monitor and report on fleet performance, including fuel efficiency and maintenance
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
    • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve overall performance
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with transportation management systems
