Clinical Interventionist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Interventionist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Clinical Interventionist, you will play a critical role in providing person-centered services to preschool-age children with autism and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate goal-setting processes with families to identify their child's needs and develop intervention plans.
- Provide assessments and develop, implement, and coordinate intervention programs to address parent goals.
- Contribute to family education and work within various intervention frameworks, including the 12-month intensive intervention model and manualized caregiver-mediated programs.
- Provide direct supervision to Program Implementers and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Master's degree in Behaviour Analysis or equivalent with Board-certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body in Nova Scotia.
- Valid Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- CPR certification and First Aid certification.
- Two years of recent experience working with children with autism and their families.
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in intervention for children with autism.
- Excellent clinical care skills, including assessment, development, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of intervention plans.
- Ability to work within an interprofessional collaborative practice framework and independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including developing and maintaining internal and external partnerships.
- Excellent time management, organization, and solution-focused skills.
- Education, training, and/or experience in evidence-based autism interventions, such as Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), Positive Behavior Support (PBS), and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), are assets.
- Ability to participate in quality improvement and innovation initiatives related to processes and practice.
- Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset.
- Competencies in other languages, particularly French and Arabic, are assets.
