Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team at the East Coast Forensic Hospital. As a member of our team, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, consultation, and psychotherapy services to patients in our Psychiatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. You will also provide consultation, assessment, and treatment services to other units within the hospital, including the Forensic Assessment Correctional Treatment Unit, Transition Bungalow Program, and Community Program.
The successful candidate will have a recognized MSc in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university program and be registered or eligible for registration with the NSBEP. A minimum of two years relevant clinical experience is preferred, with a focus on violence risk assessment and experience in a forensic inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will also have formal training and clinical experience in conducting psychological and cognitive assessments and consultation.
We are looking for a self-directed individual with the ability to work independently and as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will also demonstrate maturity and a capacity to work effectively with resistant and sometimes challenging client groups. Experience with the provision of clinical supervision to students from psychology and other mental health disciplines is also an asset.
About You- Recognized MSc in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university program
- Registered or eligible for registration with the NSBEP
- Minimum of two years relevant clinical experience preferred
- Experience in violence risk assessment and forensic inpatient setting an asset
- Formal training and clinical experience in psychological and cognitive assessments and consultation
- Self-directed and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Maturity and ability to work effectively with challenging client groups
- Experience with clinical supervision an asset
- Permanent, Full-time / 75 Hours Bi-weekly

$37.31 - $49.05 Hourly
