This Occupational Therapist I position in Drayton Valley, Alberta offers a unique chance to provide clinical direction and support to clients while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. You will work independently, communicating regularly with the Allied Health Area Manager and Occupational Therapy Professional Practice Lead.
As part of this Home Care position, you will engage individuals, groups, and communities to enable meaningful occupations. This may include self-care, productivity, and leisure activities designed to meet the needs of clients within their physical, institutional, cultural, and social environments.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-informed services, including triage, screening, consultation, assessment, diagnosis, collaborative goal setting, treatment, prevention, self-management, education, case management, referral, transition support, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Engage clients and families as integral members of the health care team, encouraging active participation in all aspects of care.
- Collaborate with clients and families in determining, implementing, and evaluating rehabilitation.
- Participate in interprofessional teams to build awareness, enrich support, and engage in quality improvement by partnering with healthcare providers, patients, families, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program.
- Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- A valid driver's license and vehicle are required for this position.
- Heart & Stroke: BCLS-HCP certification is required.

Competitive salary range: $98,000 - $130,000 per annum
