Chef De Cuisine Job Description

My Cousin Vinny's is seeking an experienced and skilled Chef De Cuisine to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for planning and preparing menus, overseeing food preparation and presentation, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that showcase our restaurant's cuisine and appeal to our diverse customer base.
  • Food Preparation: Lead the preparation and presentation of all menu items, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and appearance.
  • Kitchen Operations: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the kitchen staff, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies and equipment as needed, to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in culinary arts an asset.
  • Experience: 1-7 months of experience in a commercial kitchen environment; permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • Skill Set: Excellent culinary skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
