Sustainable Produce Urban Delivery Inc. is seeking a Senior Technology Director to lead the company's technology platforms across eCommerce, operations, and retail. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of prioritizing improvements resulting in improved software architecture, customer experience, and operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and build off the current technology roadmap to continuously improve software architecture, customer experience, and operations efficiencies.
  • Set the strategy, standards, and procedures for technology.
  • Manage and maintain vendor relationships, including negotiation or renegotiation of agreements.
  • Work with direct reports and key stakeholders to ensure technology is designed and implemented in accordance with company goals.
  • Provide technical mentorship and day-to-day management for Technology teams.
  • Responsible for application/technical architecture and design standards.
  • Participate in budget-planning activities that achieve company goals while continuously identifying efficiencies that reduce costs and maintain or enhance service levels.
  • Set and monitor adherence to architectural principles and development standards.
  • Provide impact analysis of changes to the platform, guides team on technology strategy.

Requirements

  • A degree in software development or engineering with at least 5 years as a developer/engineer, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on software development background including design patterns, data structures, and test-driven development.
  • Experience managing large customer-facing project teams and budgets, ideally for a SaaS or eCommerce company.
  • Experience building integrations with 3rd party systems and building large scale distributed systems.
