Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and performing preventative maintenance on our company fleet to ensure efficient operation
  • Inspecting, diagnosing, and conducting repairs on company vehicles
  • FOLLOWING AND PRACTICING WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS and ensuring proper disposal of hazardous waste
  • Performing other related tasks as assigned by management
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Inspection certification (required); Volvo experience is an asset
  • Red Seal Interprovincial Certification is an asset
  • Registration and good standing with the province of Nova Scotia trade school
  • The ability to understand and use computer systems and diagnostic tools
  • Your own set of tools
  • A motivated self-starter who takes pride in their work
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a fast learner
  • A strong focus on workplace safety
Work Conditions:

We prefer candidates with at least 5 years of experience as a truck mechanic, and a valid 310T certification is required.
