Job Responsibilities
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to operations personnel, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Production Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve production issues promptly, minimizing disruptions and maintaining productivity.
- Training and Development: Deliver initial and ongoing training to employees on safety protocols, equipment operation, SOPs, and GMP requirements, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards, making recommendations for process improvements as needed.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and prompt disposition of rejected supplies, minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Post-secondary education in a related field, complemented by professional development in operations management and supervisory skills training.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership position, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications, detailed knowledge of employee safety requirements in a production environment, and experience with SOP writing and GMP compliance.
- Personal Qualities: Strong inter-personal, teamwork, and communication skills, innovative, adaptable, and motivated towards continuous improvement.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
