We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Nanaimo Family Resource Programs. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to children and youth in our group homes and half-way houses.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide daily care and support to children and youth, including housekeeping activities, food preparation, and supervising activities.
- Assist clients with special needs, accompany them to appointments and social outings, and administer medications as required.
- Transport clients in wheelchair or stretcher, and care for foster children.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
- Criminal record check, child welfare check, and driving record check (abstract).
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
