  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain a well-stocked bakery.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting and testing baked goods.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective production.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant or bakery environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, judgement, reliability, and team player.
