As an IT Systems Engineer at Brex, you will play a critical role in building innovative products and infrastructure for both internal and external users. Our Engineering team includes Data, IT, Security, and Software, and is responsible for maintaining core systems that enable Brex to grow rapidly and help our customers reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and scale IT infrastructure, services, and tooling to support Brex's growth
  2. Collaborate with a diverse group of IT partners to optimize provided services
  3. Implement new services in support of Information Technologies vision
  4. Scale services by implementing configuration as code via Terraform providers or API and/or building tooling
  5. Operationalize and upskill IT and its partners by producing documentation and leading training sessions
  6. Evangelize best practices both internally and externally facing

Requirements:

  1. 2+ years of experience working with Okta and Identity Governance and Administration
  2. 2+ year experience with Github, Terraform, and configuration as code
  3. Familiarity with software engineering development cycles
  4. Experience working with at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Ruby, Golang)
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Python
  7. Strong technical writing skills
  8. Previous experience in an IT support role
  9. Experience managing macOS or Windows systems at scale
  10. Familiarity with Github Actions, Tines, and Linear
  11. Experience with Google Workspace administration

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this role is $108,800 - $136,000 CAD. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate's location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
