The City of Ottawa is seeking a skilled Water Distribution Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Infrastructure and Water Services Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of water services to our community.
About the Role:
- You will be responsible for providing leak detection services, including emergency response, non-emergency response, leak surveys, and pinpointing leak locations.
- With a strong background in water distribution systems and operations, you will work closely with our teams to identify and resolve issues related to our infrastructure.
- As a dedicated professional, you will be committed to delivering high-quality service and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in water distribution or a related field
- Experience and training in providing leak detection services and/or locates for a water system is an asset
Competencies and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of water distribution systems' infrastructure and operations
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with others
- Math skills and ability to operate personal and handheld computers
