Store Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Operations Manager to join our team at Whole Foods Market. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising strategies to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Work closely with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximizing profits.
  • Assist in analyzing sales reports and labor data to identify trends and areas for improvement, making informed decisions to optimize store performance.
  • Demonstrate advanced product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products, providing expert advice to customers and Team Members alike.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships, developing new partnerships and ensuring timely paperwork submission for vendor processing.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader to resolve team concerns and issues, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Act as a point person and departmental leader in the absence of the Team Leader, ensuring seamless store operations.
  • Prioritize high standards of retail execution, maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Foster a culture of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale, recognizing and rewarding Team Members for their hard work and dedication.
  • Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing Team Members as needed to ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.

The estimated salary for this position is $22.14 - $30.19 per hour, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan benefits, and paid time off.
