Course Instructor Opportunity: Queer Theories and Cultural Studies

OCAD University invites applications for a sessional instructor position in the Faculty of Arts & Science. The successful candidate will teach an interdisciplinary course exploring histories and theories of sexualities and the politics of representation.

Course Details:
Course Title: HUMN-2012: Queer Theories (0.5 credit)
Term: Fall/Winter 2024-25
Format: In-Person

Responsibilities:
The instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering course materials, including lectures, critiques, and evaluations. They will also ensure a respectful and inclusive learning environment for students.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have a terminal degree in art, design, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.

Terms of Employment:
Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6,871.00 (per 0.5 credit course) plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay.
