Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate wood products
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions to ensure accurate production
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment to maintain optimal performance
  • Enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand production requirements
  • Program CNC machine tools to meet production needs
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in woodworking or a related field
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary personal protective equipment
Work Environment

As a CNC Woodworking Machine Operator at Walton's Woodworking Ltd, you will work in a fast-paced wood products manufacturing environment. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a team environment.
