About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at International Fence & Railings Ltd. as an Exterior and Interior Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, as well as repairing cracks and holes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, including walls, ceilings, and floors.
  • Painting and Coating: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, using airless spray equipment, brush painting, and roller painting techniques.
  • Equipment and Machinery Operation: Operate airless spray equipment, brush painting, conventional spray painting, multi-ratio pump spraying, patterned rollers, and roller painting.
  • Surface Preparation Experience: Utilize drywall taping/patching, water/hydroblasting, steam cleaning, flame cleaning, and sandblasters to prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Coating/Application Specialization: Apply aggregate painting, fibreglassing, fire retardants, surface gilding, multi-color finishes, metallized coatings, and paint spraying techniques.
  • Wood Finishing Specialization: Perform graining, marbleizing, staining, and glazing on wood surfaces.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colors. Bending, crouching, and kneeling are also required.
  • Experience: Possess 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the painting industry, with a strong understanding of painting techniques and materials.
Requirements
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: A 35 to 44 hour workweek is standard.
