About the Role

viaSport BC is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization in its mission to promote and develop amateur sports in British Columbia. As the CEO, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to the organization, driving growth and development in the amateur sports sector, and building strong relationships with government, external stakeholders, and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and development in the amateur sports sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government, external stakeholders, and partners
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • Develop and manage budgets and financial plans to ensure the organization's financial sustainability
  • Represent the organization at various events and meetings, and engage with the media and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in the sports sector
  • Proven track record of driving growth and development in the amateur sports sector
  • Strong relationships with government, external stakeholders, and partners
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions
